A BETTER WAY TO FLY

Travelnsleep is a product that I developed because I could not sleep on Air Planes. I tried inflatable and bulk filled neck pillows, flat foam pillows and airline provided pillows. Nothing really worked for me.

On one long sleepless flight, with a U shaped pillow around my neck, I had a chance to think about why it was not giving me the support I needed to sleep. With very little thought, it became obvious that because it wrapped around my neck it was touching my cheek and lower portion of my head. My head was tilted to one side and muscles on the other side of my neck were stretched out. My thought was, I need a head support, not a neck support. After all it was my head that needed to be supported in an upright position to help me sleep. The seed of an idea was planted.

With a goal in mind, as soon as I returned home, I found a discarded foam pillow in my garage. I fashioned two crude small pillows. One to fit on either side of my head and connected them with Duct Tape. I tried the dual pillows on a high back recliner chair set at the angle of an airline seat. A comfortable head cradle effect was immediately obvious. It kept my head upright and was very comfortable.

Now I am pretty excited so I had some frequent flyer friends stop in and try my dual pillow head support They were impressed and urged me to develop the idea into a finished product.

What to do next? Even though my dual foam pillow was smaller then any neck pillow, I decided to develop an inflatable product that would be even more compact and convenient to carry and use.

To make a long story short, I now have a Patent Pending on the product, a Travel 'n Sleep Trademark, developed production tooling including a sleep mask and a carry pouch, Bar Coded retail packaging, Incorporated Travel n sleep Inc., obtained a TravelnSleep domain name and finally the product is ready to help people sleep on Planes, Trains, Buses and Motor Vehicles.

And soon to be introduced, using a similar design, is a product called Spa 'n Tub to comfortably cradle the head while relaxing in a Spa or Tub.
